We are indeed fortunate to have such a dedicated staff of professionals who work each day to enrich the lives of students at Meritor Academy. From our cook to our teachers and administrators, the main theme is providing a safe, orderly environment where students are allowed to experience success at all levels while building self-esteem and fostering independence.

Our professional staff hold undergraduate and graduate degrees in education and are all certified to teach in Massachusetts.

Susan Morrissey

Head of School

Ms. Morrissey has a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Boston College, a B.A. in English from Saint Michael’s College and a degree from Worcester Academy.   With over 11 years of experience in school leadership, Ms. Morrissey has lead initiatives in educational programming,   strategic planning, professional development, emergency planning, communications, marketing, resource management and accreditation.

Gina Kun	Director	GKun@klcorp.com	Ms. Kun has been a director at Meritor Academy for over 9 years.  In addition to her duties as Director of the affiliated Meritor Academy pre-school, she is currently the  Business Manager of the elementary school.
Carrie Kropiwnicki	Pre-K / K	ckropiwnicki@meritormiddleton.com	Ms. K holds a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Psychology from Salem State.  She is currently working on her Masters degree in Early Childhood from Salem State. She is a very knowledgeable early childhood educator.

Crystal White	Grade 1	cwhite@meritormiddleton.com	Ms. White has a Bachelor's degree in education from Boston University. An experienced teacher with over 11 years in the field, she is certified from PreK-Grade 6.
Melanie Collett	Grade 2	mcollett@meritormiddleton.com	Mrs Collett holds a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Connecticut and a Masters degree from Merrimack College. Having taught at Pike School as well as Tower school in Marblehead, Ms Collett is an experienced primary teacher.
Donna Mah	Grade 3/4	dmah@meritormiddleton.com	Ms. Mah received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Lesley University. She majored in American Studies with a minor in Elementary Education and holds a MA State License for Elementary Grades 1-6. Also, she received a Masters of Education from Lesley University in Curriculum & Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy: Language, Reading and Writing.  Ms. Mah has been working in the field of education for fourteen years.
Carolyn Blaeser	Grade 3/4	cblaeser@meritormiddleton.com	Ms. Blaeser is a graduate of Northeastern University and holds a Masters in Education from Boston College. A graduate of Phillips Academy, she was an honor student and Varsity Captain of the Soccer team.
April Foley	Music	afoley@meritormiddleton.com	Mrs. Foley holds a BA in Music from Tufts University.  She has also studied at the New England Conservatory, and the Longy and Hartt Schools of Music.  In addition to teaching general music, she also runs the afterschool Drama Clubs, and offers private lessons in voice and guitar.  This is Mrs. Foley's sixth year teaching at Meritor. Before entering the teaching field, she worked in the field of Advertising and Music Production.  Additionally, she does voiceover work for radio and TV, sings professionally, and participates in community theatre.  During the summer she is the Director of ShowkidZ, a children's musical theatre workshop.
Elena Soboleva	Art	esoboleva@meritormiddleton.com	An experienced Art Educator, Ms. Elena is a creative practioner who runs an exemplary program of Art education and Art History classes.
